Team: Bill Sissons (capt); Nick Shelvey; Stuart Williams; Neil Lucas; Les Hurst
Venue: West Bridgford Tennis Club
Result: Notts won 5-0
Captain’s Report: Nick who was our number 1 singles player took a little time to get into his stride but once in full flow won quite comfortably 6 -4 6- 0
Les played the other singles match and on his debut won 6-0 6-0. Les being a modest guy said that his opponent was rather weak.
Neil teamed up with me to play the doubles and after a long and nervy match we pulled through 6-1 6-4. The rubber took just under 2 hours.
Stuart played with Nick in the second round and finding their opponents to be very steady won 6-2 6-2.
Neil and I won 6-1 6-0.
Their team were very friendly and Ron their captain thanked me for our hospitality
