Saturday 6th May saw a tennis takeover in Nottingham’s Old Market Square with over 1000 people having a go at tennis in the sun!
Passers by had the opportunity to have a go on mini courts, hit inflatable targets and measure their speed of serve as well as learn more about all the amazing tennis opportunities currently available in Nottingham. At one point the event was even invaded by some visitors from a galaxy far, far away – Stormtroopers, Obi Wan Kenobi and Chewbacca all tried their hand at tennis with the Light Side winning out in a tennis match against the Dark Side!! The Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood and Maid Marion also had a shot on the mini courts.
Big thanks go out to the ‘Tennis in Notts Army’ coaches and volunteers who made it an amazing day of tennis for all in the Market Square.
