It has been a pleasure to be Captain this year. All the ladies were committed and very supportive which makes the job much easier.
We played Cheshire, Cumbria and Durham and Cleveland at home and West Scotland and Shropshire away, winning 4/5 and finishing second in the league which results in promotion to division 2.
All matches were played in good spirit and we had very enjoyable conversations at the match teas.
My thanks go to Elaine Masters, Sue Alexander, Shelia Eustace, Carol Whittington, Sally Walker and Ann Brown for their enthusiasm and great competitive spirit. Practice your singles ladies for next year!
