Our first match was against Warwickshire (0-8). Harry Tait played at 3, Rishi Kalia played at 2 and Harry Harold Vaux played at 1. Harry Tait/Rishi Kalia played the doubles. Warwickshire had a very strong team but it was a good experience for the boys to play at this level.
Our second match was against Lincolnshire (2-6). Louis Kybird played at 3 and won in a third set match tie break. William Caunt played at 2 and lost in a third set match tiebreak. Harry Harrold Vaux played at 1 and lost in a third set match tiebreak. All of the boys put up an excellent performance and we were unlucky not to have won 2/3 of the singles played. Harry H Vaux and William Caunt played the doubles and lost in a third set match tiebreak having had two match points in the second set. This was an excellent game to watch!
On the second day we lost Harry Harrold Vaux and all of the boys moved up a place in the team.
Our first match was against Northamptonshire (8-0) and we won all of the singles and doubles played with an excellent team performance. Harry Tait played 3, Louis Kybird played 2 and William Caunt played at 1.
Our last match was against Leicestshire (0-8). Rishi played 3, Louis played at 2 and William Caunt played at 1. Having lost the first two singles we needed to win at 1 to keep the match alive, but unfortunately William Caunt lost in a third set match tiebreak. A great performance from William as his opponent was very experienced and with a much higher rating.
