Men’s 30 July
Musters maintained their winning run in the men’s first division, following a comfortable away win at Nottingham Castle, where Dave Percival and Callum Chivers were the top couple with 6 sets. West Bridgford lost their unbeaten run at Lady Bay where Josh Bexon and James Defusto were the top couple with 6 sets. Farnsfield moved up to third place following a home win against struggling Mapperley Park. Ashley Norwood and Richard Dickens were the top couple with 6 sets.
West Bridgford ‘B’ moved to the top of division 4A following a good away win against Caunton ‘A’, where Andy Cruikshank and Alan Cripps won 6 sets, which was matched by Geoff Woods and Steve Hatfield. Sutton in Ashfield won their first match of the season against the bottom team, Friesland, where the father and son pairing of Gary and Chris Wood were the top couple with 6 sets for the loss of only 7 games.
Retford maintained their lead at the top of division 4B, following a very close away win against Keyworth ‘A’, thanks to a dominant performance from John Gazeley and Tim Taylor with 6 sets for the loss of only 4 games. Lady Bay ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run following a home win against Mapperley Park ‘A’ and move into third place. Luke Smith and Taylor Hursthouse were the top couple with 5.5 sets.
Woodthorpe ‘C’ climbed to the top of division 5A, following a home win against second placed Burton Joyce, where Mick Harris and Joss Marshall won 5 sets, which was matched by Paul Johnson and Alistair Henderson.
