Keyworth Tennis Club held its successful Great British Tennis Weekend Open Day on Sunday 14th June.
The event was marketed with a banner in the village as well as postcards and posters which were distributed and displayed in local schools, libraries and leisure centres as well as on village notice boards.
The event was also featured in the Keyworth News and on the websites for some of the surrounding villages.
Despite the weather, we had 40 attendees (along with Mums and Dads), although the heavy rain will have deterred some people.
The Minis and Juniors coaching sessions were packed, we ran a successful wheelchair tennis session, and the rest of the courts were full all afternoon with adult and family free play.
We had 12 new members join the Club on the day in response to our special one-day offer of Save 1/3 off the annual membership fee, and many more have expressed an interest in joining the club and participating in coaching.
As a follow-up we held a FREE Beginners and New Members event on 25th June, with coaching available on the evening, and we hope to convert some more attendees to join.
