Tennis was one of the sports that was part of the Inclusive Family Sports Day on Saturday
27 July 2013 at the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham from 11am to 4pm.
The event, sponsored by Sainsbury’s Summer Series, had free inclusive games and funactivities for all ages. The event was a success with 2500 people attending.
Families got to experience wheelchair tennis and mini tennis at the event. There was
tennis coaching available to give players a helping hand during their taster sessions.
Cllr Dave Trimble, Nottingham City Council's Portfolio holder for Leisure, Culture andTourism said: “We want to encourage everyone to lead healthier and more active lifestyles
but sometimes people need a bit of extra support to do this. By making activities fun and
encouraging families to do them together can give people that extra incentive to be more active.”
