On The Ball Coaches were on hand to organise tennis activity at the Vernon Park Summer Fun Day on Friday 9th August. There were more than 1000 people on site enjoying a range of activities including cycling, climbing, bouncy castles etc. We saw more than 200 people of all ages having a go at tennis and it was a great opportunity to promote the site which offers free access to courts all year round. It also gave us the chance to promote the Great British Tennis Weekend taking place this weekend 17/18 August at the same venue. ‘We had a busy evening seeing so many people on court – it has been a fantastic summer for tennis and it was great to be able to share it with so many people, many of whom had not played tennis before’
