Millie Wileman was our girl representative at the National Finals of the Road To Wimbledon, held at All England Lawn Tennis Club, along with 44 other County Finals winners to play singles & doubles at the famous Wimbledon grass courts.
See below Millie’s report on her experience:-
I had a great time at the Road to Wimbledon I got through my boxes playing three matches and winning two of them. I played in the main draw and had a really nice game however I lost in three sets with it going to a match tiebreak. During the week we had a party with a magician who was really good and we all had a great time. At the end of the week I played doubles with my best friend Lois, again we lost in a match tiebreak 11-9. When I was not playing we went round the tour and in the museum. Overall it was a great week and we all had lots of fun! Met lots of new friends and professional tennis players including TIM HENMAN!
