This event was played at The Eastgate Tennis Club, Lincoln on Saturday 30th May. We were in a group of five Counties, drawn to play Leicestershire first, three singles and one doubles match. They had a strong team, with Millie going to the third set tie-break which she lost 10-12. Olivia and Eva played the doubles which they also lost in straight sets. This gave Leics an 8-0 win.
The second round was against Warwickshire, Jessica had a very good win against Lois Porter 4-0 4-1, she played a solid consistent match. Olivia and Eva both played well, but lost in two sets. Jessica and Millie played the doubles, a close match, but went down 3-5, 4-2, giving Warwickshire a 6-2 win.
The third round was against Northamptonshire Jessica had a 4-0, 4-0 win, as did Millie winning 4-0 , 4-1, Olivia won 4-0, 4-0 , and Eva and Millie rounded this off with another straight set win 4-1, 5-4, giving us the 8-0 Win. A solid team performance.
The last round was against Lincolnshire. Jessica and Millie both had easy 4-0, 4-1 wins, Olivia had a closer match, she played her best tennis of the day to win 4-2, 5-3. Jessica and Eva played the doubles winning 5-3, 4-1. This again gave the team an 8-0 win.
