Epperstone Tennis Club held their Open Day on the Great British Tennis Weekend of Sunday 2nd August.
They attracted plenty of first-time visitors to the club, including some juniors from as far away as Bottesford (apparently this was their nearest venue holding an open day that day).
Junior sessions took place in the morning with ages ranging from 4 – 12 years and there was a very enthusiastic group of 11 adults in the afternoon who had to be dragged from the courts after 3 hours of drills and champions doubles competitions!
The club has increased their membership as a result and are also hopeful that several of the juniors will start coming along to the mini tennis coaching when it restarts in September.
