School Games Finals Across the Region Prove a Hit!

The end of this school term has seen the end of the Sainsbury’s School Games Finals taking place across the region. It has been a great year with 10 finals taking palce, one in each county.

Essex Summer Cups Finals Day held at The Connaught Club

The Essex Summer Cups Finals was held at the Connaught Club on Sunday 5th July. 

 

Tennis on the Agenda in East London

45 students from Wanstead High School are reaping the benefits from funding from the Essex Tennis thanks to a partnership project with local charity the Thames Gateway Foundation, Wanstead High School, and Linkside Tennis Club in Overton Drive, Wanstead.  During May and June, two classes of GCSE Year 10 PE students each received 12 hours of tennis coaching from a Level 4 performance standard tennis coach from WimX Tennis.

Colchester Leisure World Tennis Open 2015

This year the Grade 4 Open event in Colchester will hold the Red and Orange Mini tennis draws on grass courts with lines formally marked in chalk as on the full courts.  Come and play a mini event on grass courts this summer in what might be a one off opportunity nation wide?!

Sportivate projects wanted - open funding round now open £400,000 available

London Sport are pleased to announce that the final Sportivate Open Funding Round is NOW OPEN with £400,000 of funding available. Deadline for applications is 9am Monday 10th August 2015.

  

Funding Assistance for Essex Players

Leo Lyle Trophy Doubles Tournament Event

The Annual Essex Tennis Leo-Lyle Trophy Men’s Doubles Invitation Tournament was held successfully at Thorpe Bay LTC, the home of the event for the 8th successive year, over the weekend of  Saturday and Sunday 11th & 12th July 2015.
