Thorpe Bay LTC were selected as 'Club of the Year' at the Southend Sports Awards, just pushing Southend United into 2nd place. The award was presented to Thorpe Bay's Head Coach, Matt Bell, by Southend's Lady Mayor and was a result of TBLTC being selected out of many nominations for their contribution to sport and physical activity within the borough and for inspiring people to play tennis regularly.
