Two weeks before the event we only had 3 entrants, By the day of the event we had 52 players. Four of these withdrew with injuries leaving 48 of which there were only 6 girls.
Although it was a long day, it was very successful. It was good to see so many of the players entering their first tournament here. Some had never played any competitive tennis.
As usual the senior members of this go ahead club were very hospitable with special thanks to Maxine Davie & Tina Cowie.
