Two Essex juniors have been chosen as Barclays Ball Kids for the next ATP World Tour in November. Nicola Judge from Billericay and Maxwell Knight from Thorpe Bay were among 30 chosen from 1800 national entrants.There were 1800 national entrants, 1601 attended the trials and 120 were though to the national final trial day. From the 120 only 30 were chosen to go to the ATP World Tour finals at he O2 in November and Nicole, Nicola, Maxwell and Balraj were the only ones from Essex. They have a further 2 one day training sessions with a week in Southampton. The organizers will be looking at all aspects of their training: stamina, skills, posture, knowledge of the game, performance on court, behaviour and the ability to cope with different or difficult situations.
