It has taken us a few years securing all the necessary planning permissions along with the consent from the Secretary of State while raising nearly £400,000 but I am delighted to let you know that on 30 August 2012, the Trustees of Hylands CASC signed a 25 year lease with the Albany School, now an Academy. As well as a Lease, our club has agreed terms under a Joint Venture Agreement, which will provide the club with the following:
Six floodlit tennis courts, three of which are multi marked for basketball and netball
Two full size multi use games areas (MUGAs) also floodlit for the provision of basketball and netball
Six touch tennis courts
Three indoor mini tennis courts and four indoor table tennis tables (both in the Gymnasium)
Access to an outdoor garden
Free Wi-Fi access
Access to changing rooms and WCs
Car and bicycle parking
I very much hope that you will all continue to be part of that wonderful success story which has been Hylands Community Amateur Sports Club so far.
I am sure that you have many questions and I will do my best to answer them all as well as explaining what this means for the School, for us as a club, for local sport groups and for the wider community.
However, I have now run out of space. Therefore, keep checking our website for regular updates.
