Both Essex Senior Teams competed at Redbridge Sports Centre the weekend of 23rd - 25th November. The Men gained promotion whilst the ladies were not so lucky and were relegated.
Said Mens Captian Jamie Willson, "From a position of going in to the weekend with the objective of staying up, the team performed consistently well and in the end were relatively comfortable division winners and are now promoted back to group 1 at Bath for next winter.The support was absolutely fantastic and the confidence level within the team and the mutual support given to each other was the best there could be".
Despite a brave effort the Ladies were unfortunately relegated, but Captain Sara Hancock said "Despite an unfortunate result the girls did put up a good fight but it was always going to be an uphill battle without the strength of Stephanie Cornish and Eden Silva who were unavailable to play. We do have a relatively young team and there are some up and coming juniors who I’m sure will feature in the team in the next few years".
