Clubs are invited to nominate coaches or members for the annual Essex Tennis Awards (in conjunction with Tennis Coach/UK).
These awards provide an opportunity for clubs to recognise the work of their coach or one of their many unpaid volunteers.
There are six categories:
Club Member Awards
MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD
To recognise someone who has made a significant contribution, over a long period of time, to tennis in Essex and / or their club.
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (2009)
To recognise the achievement of a volunteer from within a club. It will focus on the work within the last twelve months.
Coach Awards
PERFORMANCE COACH AWARD
To recognise a coach who has been successful in finding and producing players with a genuine performance ethos and pedigree. This is likely to be a coach who is working successfully with a number of performance players.
DEVELOPMENT/CLUB COACH AWARD
To recognise the work of a coach who is committed to developing a successful club, which has a good mini and junior programme and is working with outside partners (e.g. schools).
COACH/PLAYER PARTNERSHIP
To recognise a coach and specific player who have achieved through their partnership. The success and progress of the player is a key criteria for this award.
MINI TENNIS COACH AWARD
To recognise a coach working successfully in developing Mini Tennis within their club/community. To include identifying and developing talent.
You can nominate in any or all of the categories above using the attached form. Further forms can be obtained from the County Office.
Please send your nomination to Dave Armstrong at the County Office by the 30th November. The presentations will be made at the Essex County LTA Annual General Meeting to be held in January.
