The girls played really well the weekend and they all said they enjoyed the day. The girls were lovely, as well as the parents who made me and mum feel very welcome.

Anja had some tough matches as she was playing number 1.  She started off a little shaky, but relaxed for the second match, and stepped up to hit more aggressive shots which helped her get the win. Her third match was another difficult one.  She dug in, and went straight back at it after losing the first set 5-3 she took the lead in the second 3-1, but couldn't take the win and ended up losing the match 5-3, but over-all she played well, and worked hard.

Azra is a lovely player to watch.  Across the day she played very strong, she had a hard first match.  She said she had played the girl before and the result has not been that close which is a positive.  I thought she played good in the next 2 matches.  Azra moved the ball around the court with ease, and pushed her opponent where she wanted enabling to take easy wins. Over-all Azra played a solid 3 games, even after losing her first one and getting upset, she got her head back in the games.

Aimee got 2 wins on the day, which was very good, as the standard of players were very different in all 3 of her matches.  So for her to play her game in each of them was positive.  When Aimee hits her forehand and positions the ball, it really helps her be on top of the point.  She got a lot of balls back in her matches, and that put pressure on some of her opponents.  She got a little upset playing her second match as she was playing well, but couldn’t get the win.  Her player just over powered her, and found her weakness, which is what Aimee was trying to do too.  After the loss, she got her head into the 3rd and final match and played strong, and got the win.

Imogen played extremely well, winning all 3 of her matches.  In all of her games, she played attractive and kept her head when under pressure.  Her serve helped her through some games, but also added pressure in some games.  She was very aggressive in all positions which was good to see. Imogen was always in good positions in the games, which is why she got easy wins. Over all, a very positive 3 wins for Imogen.

I throughly enjoyed the day, and loved watching the girls play.  Thank you for the opportunity.
