Yet again first man of Adam Groves and a real gutsy performance winning in 3 sets, Ben Stanford another tough match playing at number one sadly loosing 10 to 8 in championship tiebreak, Gabriel winning love and love leaving the match at 2 to 1 in Essex favour all down to Peter Eriksson, A lot of pressure on Peter and working really hard lost in 2 sets. The matches finished 2 all and share the points although Essex would have won by one game on count back
Cambridgeshire versus Essex
Ben going straight on after a very hard match found going hard physically and lost in 2 sets putting up a great fight all the way, Adam Groves still in form wins in 2 straight sets, Gabriel opponent retired in second set after losing the first set 4 love & being 2 love down when retired it was a shame that Gabriel was not allowed to finish off with a love set as that would have been 100% win loss ratio, all down to Peter after a hard fought first set loosing 5 to 3 then 4 to 1 a gallant performance. The matches finished 2 all and share the points although Essex would have won by 5 games on count back.
