During the February half term, Benjamin Stanford went to The All England Lawn Tennis Club, here he had a private lesson with Dan Bloxham, head coach at AELTC. After the lesson Dan Bloxham took Ben on a private tour of Wimbledon. On the tour Dan Bloxham explained his other role at AELTC, which is Master of Ceremonies during Championship fortnight and told Ben some great stories about when he has to escort the players onto Centre Court and Court 1 as well as the important job of taking the Men's trophy and Ladies plate onto court and getting both back again after the award ceremonies. Ben was fortunate to be taken into Centre Court, into the Royal Box, changing rooms, the trophy cabinet and to do the same walk as the players from the changing rooms and then actually onto Centre Court. Ben was then taken onto Court 1, here he was shown the warm up area, gym, changing rooms, press room and again taken onto the same walk as the players to and onto Court 1. After this informative and exciting tour, Ben was invited to hit with a squad of Wimbledon Juniors again under Dan Bloxham's coaching. Ben loved the day and took a lot from this unique experience.
